SOCIAL
SECURITY DISABILITY
If
you are unable to work because of an illness or injury, you should file for
Social Security benefits. To start the process you must go to any local
Social Security office and file an application for benefits. The Social
Security Administration will contact your doctors and obtain your medical
records. They may send you to their doctor for an evaluation.
If you have been turned down for benefits you have (60) sixty days to request a reconsideration or request a formal hearing before an administrative law judge.
